Wanda Paul is the chief of Strategy and Innovation at Broward County Public Schools, the sixth largest school district in the country and second largest in Florida. She leads key public-facing departments, including transportation, child nutrition, construction, purchasing and facilities, overseeing a fleet of over 1,000 buses, a large food service operation, procurement services, and the closing out of an 800 million bond referendum.

A Houston native and veteran business operations officer, Paul previously served as the chief operating officer for the Houston Independent School District, the largest school district in the state of Texas. She also formerly served as the chief operating officer for Palm Beach County Schools, Florida and the Dallas Independent School District. Paul served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas, a Master of Education from National-Louis University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She graduated from the Atlantic’s National Superintendent’s Academy and has completed coursework for a doctoral degree in education from the University of Texas at Austin, planning to earn her degree in June 2025.
