Dr. Fabby Williams is the deputy superintendent of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in North Carolina. In this role, he leads instructional leadership and operations for the district, school turnaround efforts, board relations, advocacy, budget management and strategy. During his tenure, reading and math scores have increased significantly and the district has seen its highest graduation rate in history, demonstrating his strong record of increasing student achievement and closing achievement gaps..

Previously, Dr. Williams worked in Guilford County Schools for nearly 10 years as a principal supervisor and school support officer. He was also a principal at Bolingbrook High School and Austin PolyTech in Chicago, Illinois and in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

Dr. Williams has earned his bachelor’s in social work and master’s in both administration and supervision and school guidance counseling from Winthrop University, a doctorate in educational leadership from Wingate University and an educational specialist degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He also completed AASA’s Urban Superintendent Academy Program at Howard University and the National Superintendent Academy.
