Dr. Ian Saltzman is superintendent of Everett Public Schools in Washington, which includes 27 schools serving more than 21,000 students. Before joining Everett in 2019, he worked for 30 years for The School District of Palm Beach County in Florida. Over the course of Saltzman’s career, he has been a special educator and an administrator at both the district and campus levels. With a focus on increasing student achievement, he has earned numerous accolades: He was recognized by the National School Public Relations Association as a Superintendent to Watch and was honored multiple times as Principal of the Year. Saltzman also serves on the board of directors for several education and community organizations. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in special education from Florida State University and a specialist’s degree and doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
