WyomingDr. Margaret Crespo is the former superintendent of Laramie County School District 1 in Wyoming where she served from 2021 to 2023. During her nearly 30 tenure as an education leader, she has dedicated her career to advancing student outcomes in urban and rural communities across the country. She has proven success in the areas of teaching and learning, operations, technology, advocacy, and finance, and is dedicated to expanding opportunities for all students.
Prior to Laramie County, she was area superintendent for Boulder Valley School District in Colorado. She also spent time as Boulder Valley’s assistant superintendent for secondary school leadership.
With extensive experience in education and administration, Crespo has been a teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal at the secondary level. In the Thompson School District in Loveland, Colorado, she held the roles of secondary director, chief academic officer, and chief operations officer.
A member of the fifth cohort of the Future Chiefs leadership development program, Crespo earned her doctorate in educational leadership from Arizona State University, and a master’s in counseling and bachelor’s in history from Montclair State University.
